The Yakabit Evolution

Yakabit Business Phone Service is a P.S.S., Inc./HBE Internet Company that was established in 1984. Yakabit Business Phone division of the corporation was founded in 2012. The conception of the company came about when P.S.S., Inc. had a phone service outage due to a series of bad storms that came through their corporate area and damaged the local Telco’s equipment. The Owner of the company reached out to the Telco for a simple request to temporarily forward the business phone number to his cell phone. After meeting resistance for a simple request to forward the business number the company Engineer suggested we build our own PBX.

Of course, then came the R & D phase that all companies go through when expanding or adding to their existing market with other services. Approximately 90 days later the company had homed in on what “Minutes Wholesaler” they would partner with the Engineers began their process of setting up a residential PBX Server, as well as a Business PBX Server.

As the Engineers began to do their R & D they quickly realized that this was going to be a tedious task to say the least, so they reached out to quality Professionals with back grounds based in VoIP technology. The 1st task to attack was customizing the server software to handle the customization Yakabit wanted to offer their residential and business clients. Features such as voice mail, call forwarding, conference calling, voice mail to email, and on and on with a suite of highly sophisticated and professional features.

 

Today the 10 plus years of developing the Yakabit VoIP Business phone service, has evolved in a suite of custom and customer friendly options and features developed form tedious R & D coupled with years of customer feedback. The Yakabit Business phone service is know by it’s many customers as a very reliable and service oriented business model they have come to depend on.

  • You will ALWAYS get an auto attendant message when you call NOT a live person. Let’s go into detail of how the Yakabit auto system works.

  • You are given a host of options from the auto attendant: Sales, Tech support, Billing, General.

  • So, assume you choose Tech support. You will hear a voice different than the original auto attendant; you will hear the REAL Tech person’s voice!

  • You will leave your business information for this “real tech” in as much detail as possible.

  • The voice mail you leave with now begin its journey down a proven path of “Solution”. It will not only record your message, but it will create the ticket, send the voice mail recording directly to that Tech and 3 other mailboxes. 4 people now have your voice, text translation, which will translate some languages to English.

  • The 1st task the Tech completes is looking up your company information. How else would they know what to do, right?

  • After gaining your information the tech pulls up “Remotely” your Internet connection, if you have HBE Internet, OR your phone connection if you have Business Phone only. He will then evaluate your connection, look for any errors in the log files related to your phones and assess what might be the issue.

  • You might think, Now, he will call me back? Sorry, not yet. He will then reach out to one of the Head Yakabit Engineers and go over with them what the issue is and share with him what he thinks the solution should be. ONLY if the Engineer agrees with the tech does he “sign off” on the tech returning your call. If he does not agree or wants to verify that solution or suggest another solution the Engineer will insert his solution for the call back.

  • Now you will be called back to update you on the issue you called in about. The tech will go over what was implemented on our end of the network to solve the problem, or he will go over with you that he might want you to do on your side of the network. He will say with you until a resolve is reached. Only then will the ticket be closed.

After reading the bullet points of how the service side works to solve your problem you will see that it is a Must to spend time “trouble shooting” the phone issue before calling the customer.
